COLUMBIA, Mo. – The South Carolina football team is getting set to take on Missouri in what is its first road game in Southeastern Conference play, which means its time to narrow down the travel roster.
There are only 70 players allowed to make the trip for league games, so it is the first time that teams have to cut down the amount of players who can see action. There are several notable scholarship players who are missing.
The player who comes as the biggest surprise is running back Kevin Harris, who did not make the 70-man travel squad. He has been considered the fourth-team running back, but rushed for over 100 yards in his career debut against Charleston Southern, behind a trio of seniors.
Here’s a list of the scholarship players who did not make the trip (who do not have season-ending injuries): WR Randrecous Davis; TE Traevon Kenion; RB Deshaun Fenwick; BUCK Rodricus Fitten; BUCK Brad Johnson; LB Derek Boykins; DL Griffin Gentry; OL Mark Fox; OL Wyatt Campbell; OL Jordon Carty; OL MJ Webb; WR Keveon Mullins; WR Tyquan Johnson; DL Tyreek Johnson; DL Jabari Ellis.
Defensive lineman Keir Thomas, who is not expected to play, did make the travel roster. Prior to the game, he was not spotted in uniform.
