CLEVELAND, Ohio — The MLB All-Star Game is just two days away and the excitement continues to grow in downtown Cleveland. There’s a lot happening Sunday and our reporters will be providing live video for you all day and night on cleveland.com’s Facebook page, including the hour-long interview session with celebrities playing in the softball game.
Here’s a rundown of the live videos coming today:
Reporter Hannah Drown will have broadcasts from Play Ball Park, where many former players are expected to visit today.
At 2 p.m. reporter Hayden Grove will be at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse to record the arrivals of celebrities and athletes taking part in the Celebrity Softball Game tonight at Progressive Field.
At 3 p.m, Grove will be live from the Celebrity Game media availability to interview those playing in the game such as Jamie Foxx, Jim Thome, Kenny Lofton, Drew Carey, Simone Biles and more.
You can also expect postgame chats with viewers from Grove after both the Celebrity Game and the Futures Game, which will feature two members of the Indians farm system in Daniel Johnson and Nolan Jones.
Music fans will be in for a treat with a Facebook Live broadcast of the Joan Jett & the Blackhearts performance during the Futures Game.
Finally, Grove will broadcast the special fireworks show happening after the Futures Game. Here’s how organizers describe it: “All-Star Rock N’ Blast,” a special adaptation of the Indians’ award-winning annual fireworks and multimedia show. The immersive experience features nearly 20 minutes of music, fireworks and multimedia extending around the entire ballpark.
