AUSTIN, TX — By now, you may have heard that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex — better known as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle — welcomed their first child, a boy, on Monday. The royal infant is 7th in line to the British throne, behind his dad.
In a statement, Buckingham Palace said the duchess gave birth at 5:26 a.m. Her mom, Doria Ragland, reportedly was with the new parents at their home, Frogmore Cottage shortly after the birth. The first interracial baby in the British monarchy’s recent history, the child weighted 7 pounds, 3 ounces at birth, according to the royal couple’s Instagram account.
